Background
As of January 14th 2020, the Windows 7 operating system will be unsupported by Microsoft. Computers utilising Windows 7 will still function but Microsoft will no longer provide the following:
• Technical support for any issues • Software updates • Security updates or fixes
Department of Health and Social Care Response
The DHSC has entered into an agreement with Microsoft in the form of a new centralised Windows 10 agreement. This offers local organisations Microsoft Windows operating system licences, including Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection. This facility is free of charge to local NHS organisations who agree to its implementation.*
To assist with this process, St. Vincent’s Health and Public Sector Consulting have mobilised our Windows resources to create a service which will augment the current state of deployment within an organisation.
Our Service
Within our service, we have highly experienced resources who have implemented Microsoft product suites in both the NHS and other public organisations. This attests to our technical competency as well as sensitivity to internal public service environments. In addition to this, the range of skillsets include qualifications to the following levels:
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
• Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
